How do I reduce an image to 50KB?

Why this 50KB preset is different
A 50KB ceiling is severe for detailed photos. This preset starts with JPEG at 76% quality and an 800 × 800 maximum, then lowers quality and dimensions only as needed.

Target-size method
Kompixa reduces encoder quality first. If the output remains too large, it gradually reduces dimensions and retries. The original is never overwritten.
What can prevent the target
PNG does not expose the same quality control. Browser memory, unsupported formats and unusually large dimensions can also limit processing.
Keep the original
Use the result as a delivery copy. Keep the original file separately for future editing, printing or a different compression target.
Why can a 50KB image look softer?
At 50KB the encoder has very little room for fine texture. Kompixa first adjusts quality and then dimensions, so detailed images may become smaller in both file size and pixel dimensions.
Will every result be exactly 50KB?
No. Outputs are designed to be 50KB or less and can finish far below the ceiling.
